Rain Can’t Dampen Spirits of Mud Boggers at 9th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog; Results

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 9th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, Mud Sling and Truck Show presented by James River Equipment, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Down and Dirty Virginia, Monster Energy Drink, After Hours Fabrication, Truckin Thunder and Collision One this past Saturday October 19th to a very enthusiastic crowd of mud maniacs. The rainy day could not dampen the spirits of the mud bogging faithful as they came out in full force to take part in the event. Overall 107 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 194 total passes. Adding to the excitement Steve Sims in Stone Crusher and Maxey Broadus in Walking Tall put on a fantastic Down and Dirty freestyle monster truck show for the fans with some high flying maneuvers. Winners in each class: Super Stock A – Ogle Forrest Jr, in Buster; Super Stock B – Neil McClanan in Never Enough; Modified A – Richard Rainey in Swamp Rat; Modified B – Daniel Davis – Mr. Nasty Time; Modified C – Ray Adkins in Haulin Gas; Pro Mod – Daniel Davis – Mr. Nasty Time; Unlimited Bog – Ray Adkins in Haulin Gas; X Cuts – Chris Newton in Hostile Projectile; and XX Paddles – Chuck Brown in Mudaholic. Travis Shoemaker in Highroller took top Injector/Non-blower bonus in the X Cuts class while Chuck Brown in Mudaholic took top Injector/Non-blower bonus in the XX Paddle class. The state of the art mud bog will undergo some expansion during the offseason in preparation of the tenth anniversary of the facility. Jamaica, VA – Due to the excessive rains overnight and into the morning hours officials of The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway were forced to postpone today’s 9th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment / Rappahannock Tractor and The Virginia Army National Guard until next Saturday October 19th. “It is very disappointing to have to postpone today’s event, but with the excessive rain it has made the competitor area unsafe, it would have been almost impossible to get the rigs in and out of the area,” commented General Manager Clarke Sawyer. More information about next weekend will be released later today. Gates and registration will open at 9am with Single Eliminations for Super Stock A, B; Modified A, B, C, Unlimited Bog, Pro Modified and X, XX classes beginning at 12 noon. Registration and inspection for Stock, Modified, Pro Modified and Unlimited Bog classes ends at 11:30pm with X and XX Unlimited ending at 1pm. The Mud Mayhem 4 Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment / Rappahannock Tractor and the Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis off Road, ORI of Richmond, Truckin Thunder, Collision One and Monster Energy Drink drew a huge crowd and great field of competitors at the state of the art mud bog facility in Jamaica, VA. The sunny temperatures and sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging. 89 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 170 completed passes. Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 8th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, Mud Sling and Truck Show presented by James River / Rappahannock Tractor, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis Off Road, Monster Energy Drink, After Hours Fabrication, Truckin Thunder and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 6th breaking records in both competitor participation and fans in attendance. The cool temperatures and partly sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging. Overall 137 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 271 total passes. Adding to the excitement Steve Sims in Stone Crusher and Maxey Broadus in Walking Tall put on a fantastic freestyle monster truck show for the fans with some high flying maneuvers. The “Master of Disaster” himself Dennis Anderson brought out his newest creation King Sling and thrilled the crowd with a performance that only Dennis Anderson could pull off. Record Crowd for 7th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog And Mud Sling at The Pit

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 7th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River / Rappahannock Tractor, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis Off Road, Monster Energy Drink, NAPA of King William, Truckin Thunder and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 1st to a record crowd. The event also boasted another large field of competitors featuring not only some of the areas top mud trucks in a very tough mud pit but also the very popular 1500 horsepower mud dragsters in the mud sling pit. If that wasn’t enough the fans were also treated to an awesome monster truck freestyle show by Equalizer and fans also witnessed the first performance of Dennis Anderson’s King Sling at a track other than Anderson’s own Muddy Motorsports Park. The Pit at VMS to host first of two mud bogs for 2011 this Saturday June 18th

Jamaica, VA – Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway will take with week off at the round track to host the first of two big Mud Bog events for the 2011 season. Saturday June 18th will be a day of Mud Mayhem presented by Rappahannock Tractor and the Virginia Army National Guard at “The Pit”, located on the grounds of Virginia Motor Speedway. The Pit at VMS is a state of the art mud bog facility featuring 200-foot Mud Bog and Mud Sling pits with permanent seating and lighting. There will be eight classes in action ranging from stock to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes. Fans of all ages will be thrilled by the hordes of trucks splashing through the 200 foot Mud Bog pit and ground pounding 1500 horsepower Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in less than three seconds.
