TireX Signs on as Title Sponsor of the 35th Annual USA 100

Jamaica, VA – Officials of Virginia Motor Speedway are proud to announce that TireX, Inc has signed on to be the “Title Sponsor” of the 35th Annual USA 100 that will feature the Ultimate Super Late Model Series in a $10,000 to win event on Saturday May 17th. “We are extremely proud to add a sponsor such as TireX; Willie Mason has been a huge supporter of local short track racing for many years and we welcome him into our racing family,” commented track General Manager Clarke Sawyer. The 35th Annual USA 100 will once again be sanctioned by the Ultimate Super Late Model Series and will pay the winner of the 50 lap feature a cool $10,000. The list of previous Champions is a list of “Who’s Who” in dirt late model racing. The race will once again feature the “Fan Friendly” format of two twenty-five lap qualifying races to make it into the fifty-lap “A” main. Competitor gates for Saturday May 18th will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30 pm with hot laps. Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday May 17th: ULTIMATE Super Late Models (50 Lap Feature); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (25 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (25 Laps) and Collision One Limited Stock Cars (20 Laps). ULTIMATE Super Late Models will run qualifying; two 25 lap qualifying races and Feature. All track divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and Features. Adult tickets are just $20; seniors (60+) $18; military $15; students 11 – 17 years old $10; and children 10 and under free. Pit passes will be $30. All tickets will be sold day of event. 16” coolers are welcomed but no glass is allowed. There is plenty of free lit parking and camping (no hookups) is allowed at no charge on a first come first served basis. Twin Features for all Five Divisions this Saturday May 3

Jamaica, VA – Virginia Motor Speedway will return to racing this Saturday May 3rd to host Truckin Thunder Scout Night presented by the Virginia Army National Guard. The night will feature the “Twin Race” format for the Victory Lap Late Model, Aaron’s Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions. The night will also feature the 3rd Annual Dirtwood Nationals Pinewood Derby. Gates will open at 3pm for registration with the Dirtwood National Pinewood Derby starting at 4pm. The Virginia Army National Guard will also have a “Pit Crew” Challenge set up under the grandstands for all in attendance to participate. Competitor gates for Saturday May 3rd will open at 3pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30pm for hot laps. Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday: Victory Lap Late Models (Twin 15 Laps); Aaron’s Pro Late Models (Twin 15 laps); Budweiser Modifieds (Twin 15 Laps); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (Twin 15 laps) and the Collision One Limited Stock Cars (Twin 12 laps). All divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and Features. Admission price for Adults $12, seniors (60+) $10; military (active/retired w/ proper I.D.) $8, students 13 – 17 years old $6, children 7 to 12 $4 and children 6 and under admitted free. We offer a family pass for $25 (two adults and two children 12 and under). Pit passes will be $20. All Scouts (Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Girl Scout) in uniform will get in free, this includes Scout Masters. To enhance the fans racing experience the speedway has installed a short wave FM transmitter and all of the evening’s action can be heard at 95.5 FM.
