Fantastic Racing in Front of Huge Crowd at the 16th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog

Jamaica, VA – Mother Nature tried to put a damper on the last event of 2023 at Virginia Motor Speedway. Still, Mud Bog competitors and fans showed out in big numbers for the 16th annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, presented by Breezeline and WhosYourDriver.org. The event was also sponsored by Northern Neck Chevrolet, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, Gary’s Transmission, After Hours Fabrication, Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers, Truckin Thunder, and Virginia is for Racing Lovers (VA Tourism). The enthusiastic crowd witnessed some incredible runs in the head-to-head Premier Mega Truck Racing Series mega trucks and the mud bog hill-n-hole pit. In one of the best events in history at the state-of-the-art facility, two division track records were broken in spectacular fashion. In the After Hours Fabrication Pro Mod division, the track record was broken three times at one event, all besting the old track record of 3.844 seconds held by Michael Sutphin in O.G. Highroller. First, Sutphin in O.G. High Roller lowered his own record with a pass of 3.819 seconds. Next, Donnie Miller in Black Truck broke the record with a pass of 3.789 seconds, and finally, Chris Bradshaw in Fast Money broke the record with a highlight reel pass of 3.683 seconds. Winners in each class: Kings of Superstreet Mud Racing Series – Michael Sutphin in Stacked Deck; Truckin Thunder Pro Stock – Corey Maines in Seriously Jones’n; JDS Enterprises Modified – Austin Ragland in Wastin’ Money; After Hours Fabrication Pro Mod – Chris Bradshaw in Fast Money; and Victory Lap Mega Trucks – Gary Sabella in Old Number Six. 16TH Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog Set for Saturday, October 7th

<strong>Jamaica, VA – </strong>Just when you think you witnessed the biggest event in the facility’s history, The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway steps it up one more notch on the excitement meter. To say officials are excited and anxiously awaiting the running of the 16th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, presented by Breezeline and WhosYourDriver.org, would be an understatement. The Pit is bringing the Premier Mega Truck Racing Series back for some intense head-to-head mega truck racing action, and it will be bigger and better than in May. There will also be four Hill-N-Hole divisions competing in the State’s most challenging mud pit. 18TH Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog Set for Saturday, October 8th at The Pit

Jamaica, VA – The biggest mud bog in The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway’s history is Saturday, October 8th. To say that officials are excited and anxiously awaiting the running of the 18th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog presented by Estes Express Lines and Breezeline. For the first time in the Pit’s history, there will be head-to-head mega truck racing. There will be eight “Mud Maniacs” classes competing, ranging from super stock to Mega Truck, with cash payouts in all eight divisions. 13th Annual Mud Mayhem Mud Bog at The Pit Postponed Due to Weather

Jamaica, VA – With the forecast calling for rain and possible thunderstorms today and tomorrow, officials at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway have decided to postpone the 13th Annual Mud Mayhem Mud Bog presented by Breezeline to a day to be determined. “We hate to have to postpone the mud bog, but with the amount of rain we have already had and the wet weekend forecast, we have to think of the safety of our competitors and fans,” commented General Manager Clarke Sawyer. Sawyer added, “we will look at the schedules of mud bog events in the Mid-Atlantic region and find a date that does not conflict with any of those events. With the spring mud bog rained out officials, fans and competitors alike are all ready for some of the best mud bogging on the East Coast. There will be eleven classes of “Mud Maniacs” in action ranging from super stock to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes. Plans are to make a few changes to the course before October 13th. The event will also include a car crushing monster truck freestyle show that will include three monster trucks and is sure to be a hit with adults and kids alike. MAY 21 MUD BOG CANCELED

Jamaica, VA – Due to the forecast for Saturday May 21st officials of The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway have canceled the 9th Annual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment and Commonwealth Motorsports. With 100% chance of heavy rains forecast and the low pressure system sitting directly over Virginia, officials determined that for the safety of competitors and fans alike it was best to cancel the event. “Words can not describe how disappointed we are with having to cancel tomorrow’s event, the facility was prepped and ready for what we felt was going to be a record breaking day. The safety of our competitors and fans is the most important aspect of what we do here at Virginia Motor Speedway,” commented track General Manager Clarke Sawyer. The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway Releases 2016 Mud Bog Schedule

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway will once again host two spectacular mud bogs in 2016, the 9th Annual Down and Dirty Mud Mayhem on Saturday May 21st and the 12th Annual Down and Dirt Run-A-Muck Mud Bog on Saturday October 8th.
