SPEEDWAY SET TO BEGIN PROJECT: SPORTSMAN TRUCK BODY

SPEEDWAY SET TO BEGIN PROJECT: SPORTSMAN TRUCK BODY

Jamaica, VA — Speedway officials are excited to start a new project meant to showcase a new rule that will be implemented for the 2014 season in the Victory Lap Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman and Collision One Limited Stock divisions. Speedway officials have decided that with the popularity of the Camping World Truck Series return to dirt this past season that the track would allow truck bodies in the three mentioned divisions. All existing rules, excluding the body rules, will stay effect for each division. Final rules packages for the 2014 season are forthcoming. The new project will take a Sportsman chassis and outfit it with a Five Star Short Track truck body. We have chosen the GM 604 crate engine as the power plant for this project as it is allowed as a cost effective option in the Sportsman division. We invite everyone to follow along with this project that will be debuted at this year’s open practice. Any questions should be directed to Clarke Sawyer or Ken Roberson by calling the Speedway at (804) 758-1867....
