$15,000 to Win Fastrak World Championship presented by James River Equipment Tonight

Jamaica, VA – After a very exciting World Challenge Night where Corey “Flash” Gordon of Charlotte, NC scored the $5000 victory, fans are on edge to see what night 2 of the 12th Annual Fastrak World Championships presented by James River Equipment has to offer. The warriors of the FASTRAK Pro Late Model Series will start all over with a complete show, but this time the stakes are a lot higher as tonight’s winner will walk away with a cool $15,000 and the title of World Champion. Some of the best Pro Late Model drivers in the country are on hand for the “Super Bowl” of Pro Late Model racing. In the eleven year history of the event there are 11 different winners adding another element to tonight’s event with three previous champions scheduled to compete. With tonight’s feature going for 60 laps on the super fast ½ mile speed plant in Jamaica, VA drivers might have to use a little strategy to score the victory. Today’s events will start at 2PM with driver sign and technical inspection. Practice will get under way at 6PM with qualifying scheduled for 8PM. Spectator gates will swing open at 4pm. Admission for Saturday September 19th will see adults – $25, seniors (60+) – $20, military (active or retired w/I.D.) – $15, students (11-17) – $10 and children 10 and under free with paying adult. Speedway to host the 38th Annual TireX USA 100 This Saturday May 16th

Jamaica, VA – Will there be a repeat winner this year in the 38th Annual TireX USA 100 at Virginia Motor Speedway? This Saturday May 16th we will find out when the stars and cars of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series return to battle for the $10,000 top prize. In the nine year history of the event has being held at the ½ mile speed plant in Jamaica, VA there has yet to be a repeat winner; a testament to the competition in the region and how hard it is to win at Virginia Motor Speedway. The excitement level is building among officials and fans alike as everyone anticipates a stellar field and race once again, especially after the fantastic show that the series competitors put on during the Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth held on April 11th. The list of previous Champions for this race is a list of “Who’s Who” in dirt late model racing. Fans can expect to see the best drivers on the East Coast competing for the top prize. Defending Ultimate Super Late Model Series Champion Dennis Franklin, Two-time Series Champion and current point leader Casey Roberts, Dustin Mitchell, Jeff Smith and the rest of the tour regulars will have their hands full with regional stars like defending TireX USA 100 Champion Chris Ferguson, Gregg Satterlee, Ricky Elliott, Walker Arthur, Dan Stone and Jamie Lathroum. Buck Roadcap Wires Field for First Late Model Win; Quad Scores Third Win in a Row while Thompson, Jamerson and Givens Grab First Victories of Season

Jamaica, VA – All eyes were on defending champion Justin Williams of Concord, VA to see if he could come from his sixth place starting position and win for the second time in a row but Buck Roadcap of Waynesboro, VA had other thoughts. Roadcap survived a three wide battle with Billy Tucker and David Williams to take the lead, one he would not relinquish. Roadcap would fend off the challenges of David Williams over the final 25 laps to score his career first win at Virginia Motor Speedway. “I have been trying for over a year now to get a win here at Virginia Motor Speedway and now I’m got that win. I have to thank Booper Bare for the setup advice he gave me this past week,” commented an elated Buck Roadcap in victory lane. Rounding out the top five were David Williams, Joe Ender, Billy Tucker and Billy Hubbard. Defending champion Justin Williams would rebound from a couple of scrapes with the wall to finish sixth. In other action eighth starting Matt Quade of Mechanicsville, MD took the lead on lap 4 of the Budweiser Modified feature and went on to his third win in a row; in the Aaron’s Pro Late Model feature defending champion Bobby Thompson of Concord, VA took home his first win of the season; Roger Jamerson of Mechanicsville, VA picked up his first Truckin Thunder Sportsman win in 2 years and James Givens of Henrico, VA claimed the checkers in Collision One Limited Stocks. In Aaron’s Pro Late Model qualifying Jared Powell of Charlottesville, VA set a new division track record with a lap of 18.332 seconds. Billy Tucker and Buck Roadcap led the field to green of the 30 lap Victory Lap Late Model feature. Roadcap and Tucker leaned on each other out of turn 2 allowing David Williams become the third member of a three wide battle for the lead with Roadcap gaining the top spot out of turn 4. Caution would quickly come out when David Steele hit the turn 3 wall. On the restart Williams got under Tucker for second as Justin Williams scraped the wall damaging his spoiler. The caution would come out two laps later when Williams scraped the wall again in turn 3 damaging the spoiler even more sending him to pit road for repairs. On the restart David Williams worked inside Tucker and finally grab the spot out of turn 4 to take second. Once in second he began to pressure Roadcap for the lead. Each time the leader was up to the challenge holding on to the lead and going on to capture his first late model victory at Virginia Motor Speedway. Rounding out the top five were David Williams, Joe Ender, Billy Tucker and Billy Hubbard. Davis Lipscombe and Bobby Thompson led the Aaron’s Pro Late Model division to the green flag with Thompson claiming the top spot out of turn 2. Once out front Thompson began to pull away from the field with Lipscombe in tow. Behind them the battle for third heated up between Mark Parks and Tyler Bare as the two raced side by side for 10 laps, trading the position between them almost every lap. Bare would finally secure the spot with a slide job in turn 2 on lap 22. Thompson would get into a lapped car coming to the white flag but would gather it back up to go on to the win. Rounding out the top five were Davis Lipscombe, Tyler Bare, Mark Parks and Jared Powell. In the Budweiser Modified 25 lap feature Brent Bordeaux and Hunter McClendon led the field to green with McClendon taking the lead out of turn 2. A caution came out on the next circuit after Charlie Hubbard hit the wall out of turn 4 sending him into the side of Mike Reynolds. Both drivers would retire for the night. On the restart eighth starting Matt Quade worked his way to the back of McClendon and dove under him heading into turn 2 taking the lead as they headed into turn 3. Once out front Quade set sail to his third win in a row. Rounding out the top five were Hunter McClendon, Brent Bordeax by inches over Joey Polevoy and BJ Mongold. In the Truckin Thunder Sportsman 20 lap feature James Snead and Roger Jamerson led the field to green with Jamerson rocketing to the lead. Jamerson would set sail, pulling away from the field and go on to record his first victory in two years. In the Collision One Limited Stock 20 lap feature Cory Bradley and Chris Champion led the field to green with Champion leading the first circuit. Moving to second James Givens began to pressure Champion for the lead. Several times Givens tried to get inside champion for the lead but to no avail. On Lap 10 Givens finally got under Champion out of turn 2 to take the lead. Once out front Givens set sail and went on to capture the victory. Rounding out the top five were Corey Bradley, Ryan Hutchens, Chad Champion and David Bowler. The speedway will return to racing next Saturday May 16th to host the 36th Annual TireX USA 100. The event will once again be sanctioned by the Ultimate Super Late Model Series and will pay the winner of the 50 lap feature a cool $10,000. Speedway to host Mom’s Night Out Saturday May 9

Jamaica, VA – Virginia Motor Speedway will return to racing this Saturday May 9th to host Mom’s Night Out. All Mom’s and Grandma’s will be admitted free to the grandstands in honor of Mothers Day. The night will also feature all five of the track’s Virginia Army National Guard Dirt Series divisions in action. See the Victory Lap Late Model, Aaron’s Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions. Competitor gates for Saturday May 9th will open at 4pm with spectator gates opening at 5pm. On track activities will begin at 6:30pm for hot laps. Justin Williams Takes Checkers in Late Models; Bare, Quade, Adkins and Hutchens also Grab Victories

Jamaica, VA – In front of a packed house on Truckin Thunder Scout night at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway Justin Williams of Concord, VA and Billy Tucker of King George, VA put on a show for the ages as the two battled for 23 laps before Williams finally took the lead on lap 24 and go on to the victory. Normally a high side, cushion riding driver, Williams had to use the inside groove to finally get past Tucker for the lead. Once out front Williams set sail to pick up his first win of the season. Shotgun starting David Williams finished second with a last lap pass on Billy Tucker followed by Joe Ender and Billy Hubbard rounding out the top five. In other action Tyler Bare of Rockbridge Baths, VA took the lead on lap 17 of the Aaron’s Pro Late Model 25 lap feature and went on take his second win of the season. In the Budweiser Modified feature Matt Qaude of Mechanicsville, MD picked up his second feature win of the season in as many races after battling with Mike Reynolds for the victory. Brett Adkins of Gloucester, VA picked up the win in Truckin Thunder Sportsman and Ryan Hutchens of Providence Forge, VA scored his second win of the season in Collision One Limited Stock Cars. Billy Tucker and Billy Hubbard led the Victory Lap Late Models to the green for their 30 lap feature. Tucker took the lead out of turn 2 with Justin Williams right on his bumper. Williams worked Tucker high and looking for the lead with Tucker keeping the lead by inches each time to the line. For 22 laps Williams and Tucker battled for the lead and David Williams worked his way from his last place starting spot. On lap 23 Williams finally got to the inside of Tucker in turn 4 and took over the lead at the line. Once out front Williams pulled away and went on to win his first win of the season. David Williams, Billy Tucker, Joe Ender and Billy Hubbard rounded out the top 5. In the Aaron’s Pro Late Model 25 lap feature Davis Lipscombe and Jimmy Duncan led the field to green with Duncan taking the lead out of turn 4 with Ricky Wells in tow. By lap 10 Tyler Bare had worked his way to second and began to put pressure on the leader. Bare tried for several laps to take the lead as the two battled side by side. On lap 16 Duncan slipped up in turn 1 allowing Bare to dart inside for the lead. Once out front Bare cruised to his second consecutive win of the season. Duncan, Mark Parks, Jared Powell, and Ricky Wells rounded out the top five. Dan Arnold and Mike Clements led the Budweiser Modified field to green with Reynolds taking the lead out of turn 2 followed closely by Matt Quade. By lap 5 Reynolds had stretched his lead to almost ten car lengths when a caution came out for a spin by Joey Dean. On the restart Quade tried to take the top spot but Reynolds held him at bay. The two battled for the next 20 laps nearly side by side with Reynolds holding on to the top spot until lap 20 when Quade jumped to the outside of Reynolds in turn 4 to take the lead at the line. Once out front Quade pulled away for his second win in as many races this year. Brian Maxey, Dan Arnold, Mike Reynolds and Francis Jarrelle III rounded out the top five. In the Truckin Thunder Sportsman 20 lap feature Chad Beahr and James Snead lead the field to green with Snead grabbing the top spot out of turn 2. For 9 laps Snead paced the field with a small cushion. On lap 10 Brett Adkins began to apply pressure and on lap 11 Adkins got under Snead in turn 1 to take the lead. Once out front Adkins had to hold off the field on several restarts to pick up the win. Snead, Macy Causey, Roger Jamerson and Chad Beahr rounded out the top five. In the Collision One Limited Stock 20 lap feature Cory Bradley and Brian Bradley led the field to green with Brian Bradley taking the lead followed by Chad Champion and Ryan Hutchens. The three drivers battled for the lead the first 11 laps until Bradley exploded and engine on the backstretch. That handed the lead to Champion. On the restart Champion and Hutchens began the tussle over the top spot. On lap 15 Hutchens got to the inside of Champion out of turn 4, taking the lead by inches at the line. Over the next four laps Hutchens was able to hold off Champion for his second victory in as many weeks. Chris Maxey, Chris Champion and Brandon Sandridge rounded out the top five. The speedway will return to racing next Saturday May 9th for Mom’s Night Out. All mom’s and grandma’s will be admitted free. Jamaica, VA — The speedway will host Truckin Thunder Scout Night tonight and feature the 4th Annual Dirtwood Nationals Pinewood Derby as pre-race activities. The pinewood derby will have three categories: Scouts, Fans and competitors. There will be an overall champion crowned. Registration will get under way at 3pm with the derby starting at 4pm. 4th Annual Dirtwood Nationals Pinewood Derby and Truckin Thunder Scout Night Saturday May 2nd

Jamaica, VA – If you have ever been involved in a pinewood derby you know how exciting it is not only for the kids but for the adults. Saturday May 2nd Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway will bring that excitement and fun to the speedway as it hosts the 4th Annual Dirtwood Nationals Pinewood Derby as part of Truckin Thunder Scout Night. “We are extremely excited to once again host this event and to help raise money and awareness for ChildHelp. Walker Arthur Scores Opening Night Victory in Victory Lap Late Model Action; Bare, Quade, Upshaw and Hutchens also collect wins

Jamaica, VA – The much anticipated opening race of the 2015 Virginia Army National Dirt Series season at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway didn’t disappoint with a battle for the ages in the Victory Lap Late Models between Walker Arthur and defending champion Justin Williams. The two drivers raced side by side for much of the first sixteen laps with Williams taking the lead briefly on lap 17. Three laps later, Arthur would regain the lead that he would not relinquish and go on to take the win. “What an unbelievable track we had tonight, I was able to take my car anywhere. When Justin (Williams) got past me, it showed me I had to drive my car a little harder,” commented Arthur in victory lane. In other action Tyler Bare picked up the win in Aaron’s Pro Late Models with a pass on Bobby Thompson on lap 18. In the Budweiser Modifieds defending champion Matt Quade charged from his twelfth place stating position to take the lead on lap 7 and go on to the win. In the Truckin Thunder Sportsman Tommy Upshaw picked up the win and in the Collision One Limited Stocks Ryan Hutchens held off a stout field to take the victory. On the drop of the green flag of the Victory Lap Late Model race Walker Arthur rocketed from his fourth place starting position to lead the first lap with Justin Williams in tow. Williams worked the outside of Arthur trying to take over the top spot. On lap 2 Williams pushed his car so hard it brushed the turn 2 wall causing major damage to his spoiler. For several laps Williams worked to keep the car under him while also trying to keep Arthur from pulling away on someone else taking his spot. On lap 3 Williams would lose second briefly to Billy Tucker only to take the position back on the next circuit. Each lap Williams would lean on the cushion trying to get to the outside of Arthur. On lap 15 Williams finally got to the outside of Arthur coming out of turn 2 as the two raced side by side to the line. On the next lap Williams pulled off the pass out of turn two. That is when Arthur turned up the wick. Over the next three laps Arthur went to work and on lap 19 Arthur put a major league slide job on Williams out of turn 4 to take over the lead he would not relinquish. Williams tried on several occasions to take back the lead but Arthur held on for the victory. Rounding out the top five were Justin Williams, Buck Roadcap, Billy Hubbard and Darryl Hills. In the Aaron’s Pro Late Model 25 lap feature defending champion Bobby Thompson and Jared Powell led the field to green with Thompson leading the first lap with Powell in second. Behind him the action quickly went 3-wide for third. With everyone battling for second on back that allowed Thompson to pull away with a sizeable lead. On lap 87 Walker Arthur worked his way to second and looked like he might pull off another win but Thompson was up for the challenge. Methodically working his way into second Tyler bare began to apply pressure to the leader on lap 15. On lap 17 bare got under Thompson in turn 2 and took over the lead. Once out front bare kept a comfortable distance on the field to score the win. Following bare to the checkers were Bobby Thompson, Walker Arthur, Jared Powell and Ricky Wells rounding out the top five. In the Truckin Sportsman 17 lap feature James Bunn and Tommy Upshaw led the field to green with Upshaw grabbing the lead out of turn 2. Upshaw would give up the lead to Jeremiah Marshall on lap 5 and looked to be settling into second but on lap 14 Marshall would slow with mechanical issues handing the lead and the victory over to Upshaw. In the Collision One Limited Stock Cars Chad Champion and Brian Bradley would lead the field to green with Champion grabbing the lead. On lap 3 Ryan Hutchens would take the top spot away from Champion with a pass out of turn 2. The top six drivers all stayed within striking distance of the lead. Hutchens fended off several challenges but was strong enough to take the victory over Chad Champion, Brian Bradley, David Bowler and Chris Maxey. The speedway will take next Saturday April 25th off due to the NASCAR races at Richmond International Raceway and return to racing on Saturday May 2nd for Truckin Thunder Scout Night presented by the Virginia Army National Guard. Randy Weaver Crowned Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth; Walker Arthur Wins $3000 FASTRAK National Tour Event

Jamaica, Virginia (April 11, 2015) – Coming into the ULTIMATE Super Late Model Series sanctioned Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth at Virginia Motor Speedway the name being talked about more than any other was the white-hot Randy Weaver of Crossville, Tennessee. After all, the 45 year old driver was off to his best season start of his career having won each of the 4 events he had entered thus far. So most of the dirt late model world was wondering if Weaver could keep his winning streak alive at a facility he had never even seen before. And what was Weaver’s answer? A resounding yes in the form of a dominating win that saw him set overall fast time, win his heat race and lead every lap of the sixty lap feature to garner the biggest payday of his career. “The good Lord is being real good to me right now and I don’t know why. I owe everything to Him. But man what a race car and crew. I’m tellin’ ya anybody in them grandstands can drive this thing. It about drives itself. And Josh and Grant and my owners Chip and Rusty Stone are here this weekend. This awesome Cornett power. This Longhorn Chassis, everywhere we go…I mean I have never seen this place, I have just heard great things about it, and I can’t believe that my name is in history down here now.” said a very jubilant Weaver in his victory lane interview. Weaver picks up his second ULTIMATE Super Late Model victory of the season which is his richest to date. “What an incredible facility here. This is just an awesome place. For promoters to take a chance like this in our sport…we really appreciate facilities like Virginia Motor Speedway.” In other action Walker Arthur of Forest, VA dominated on way to a $3000 victory during the 40 lap FASTRAK National Tour event. It was the inaugural race for the new FASTRAK National Tour. At the drop of the green flag for the Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth Weaver surged to the lead. And while out front Weaver’s progress was only slowed as he encountered lapped traffic it was a very different story behind him. Davenport and Zeigler waged a battle for the runner-up spot from the outset. Davenport was able to slip into 2nd on the opening lap. However on the 4th circuit Zeigler was able to use his outside line to grab 2nd while Bloomquist and Chris Madden gave chase from the 4th and 5th positions. Davenport continued to stalk Zeigler and when Bloomquist jumped into the mix, Davenport turned up the wick. Bloomquist rolled by Davenport down the back straightaway but Davenport would have no part of it. He drove his Longhorn machine to the high side of turns 3 and 4 moving back by Bloomquist and setting up Zeigler for the slider through turns one and two to retake the 2nd position. Up front Weaver was cruising but beginning to encounter back marker traffic. Weaver was able to negotiate the lap machines with relative ease as he was able to move his race car all over the track when he needed to. However Weaver’s only real scare of the event came as he was attempting to put Ricky Elliott down a lap. Weaver entered turn 3 hard in order to slide by the high running Elliott. Weaver’s machine began to hop wildly as he slid up the track. No harm, no foul for Weaver however as the yellow waved for the final time of the night when Earl Pearson, Jr. stopped on the track. Weaver was able to continue with no issues after the scare. “I thought I had knocked the tires off it there. I heard them call for the caution and I was checking up as it was sliding to the outside. I shook it back and forth and made sure everything was still under me.” Weaver added. Under him it was as he powered away on the final restart and held on to win the $20,000 winner’s purse. Davenport settled for 2nd and Bloomquist finished in the 3rd position. The car has been so good all year and it ran just flawless tonight; event though we didn’t do as well as we want in the Super Late model tonight, we are super excited about winning the first ever FASTRAK National Tour event here at our home track,” commented Arthur in victory lane. At the drop of the green flag Arthur rocketed to the lead from his pole position as David Smith, Jimmy Schiltz, Daniel Baggerly and Mark Parks went four wide to decide second. With the action behind him Arthur pulled away to a comfortable lead. By lap 11 Arthur began working lapped traffic while the battle for second continued between Smith, Parks and Schiltz. At the halfway point Arthur maintained almost a full straight lead over the field while masterfully working lapped traffic. With plenty of two, three and even four wide racing behind him Arthur continued to stretch out the lead. On lap 20 Kennie Compton Jr. joined the battle for second picking off drivers one by one until he finally claimed the spot from Smith on lap 30. With 10 laps remaining Compton tried to reel in the leader but Arthur was too strong going on to take the $3000 victory with Compton, Smith, Parks and Schiltz, Matt Long, 2014 FASTRAK World Champion Tim Dohm, Dillon Brown, Daniel Baggerly and Jared Powell rounding out the top ten. Spectator gates open at 4pm with on-track action beginning at 6pm with hot laps for both divisions followed by qualifying, heats, B-Main(s) and features. This is a must see event for late model racing fans! Admission price for adults is only $30, seniors (60+) $27; military (active/retired w/ proper I.D.) $25, students 11 – 17 years old $12 and children 10 and under admitted free.
