Mud Mayhem Mud Bog at The Pit a Huge Success Despite Rain and Mud; June 1st Mark Batten Memorial Featuring Twin $10,000 to win features Up Next

Jamaica, VA – Mother Nature did her best to put a damper on the 14th annual Mud Mayhem presented by Breezeline and WhosYourDriver.org, but the fans and competitors showed out despite the rain and mud at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway. The event saw the largest truck count of Mega Trucks in the facility’s history, with sixty-four total trucks showing up for race number three for the Premier Mega Truck Racing Series, forty-one Pro Mega Trucks, and 23 1-Ton Super Trucks. Jamaica, VA – The first of two mud bogs for the 2024 season is scheduled for today Saturday, May 18 as The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosts the 14th annual Mud Mayhem presented by Breezeline and WhosYourDriver.org. The event will feature the competitors of the Premier Mega Truck Racing Series in head-to-head, no time clock racing. This will be one mega of a show and is RAIN OR SHINE! Fantastic Racing in Front of Huge Crowd at the 16th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog

Jamaica, VA – Mother Nature tried to put a damper on the last event of 2023 at Virginia Motor Speedway. Still, Mud Bog competitors and fans showed out in big numbers for the 16th annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, presented by Breezeline and WhosYourDriver.org. The event was also sponsored by Northern Neck Chevrolet, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, Gary’s Transmission, After Hours Fabrication, Joe Hudson’s Collision Centers, Truckin Thunder, and Virginia is for Racing Lovers (VA Tourism). The enthusiastic crowd witnessed some incredible runs in the head-to-head Premier Mega Truck Racing Series mega trucks and the mud bog hill-n-hole pit. In one of the best events in history at the state-of-the-art facility, two division track records were broken in spectacular fashion. In the After Hours Fabrication Pro Mod division, the track record was broken three times at one event, all besting the old track record of 3.844 seconds held by Michael Sutphin in O.G. Highroller. First, Sutphin in O.G. High Roller lowered his own record with a pass of 3.819 seconds. Next, Donnie Miller in Black Truck broke the record with a pass of 3.789 seconds, and finally, Chris Bradshaw in Fast Money broke the record with a highlight reel pass of 3.683 seconds. 18TH Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog Set for Saturday, October 8th at The Pit

Jamaica, VA – The biggest mud bog in The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway’s history is Saturday, October 8th. To say that officials are excited and anxiously awaiting the running of the 18th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog presented by Estes Express Lines and Breezeline. For the first time in the Pit’s history, there will be head-to-head mega truck racing. There will be eight “Mud Maniacs” classes competing, ranging from super stock to Mega Truck, with cash payouts in all eight divisions. 13th Annual Mud Mayhem Mud Bog at The Pit Postponed Due to Weather

Jamaica, VA – With the forecast calling for rain and possible thunderstorms today and tomorrow, officials at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway have decided to postpone the 13th Annual Mud Mayhem Mud Bog presented by Breezeline to a day to be determined. “We hate to have to postpone the mud bog, but with the amount of rain we have already had and the wet weekend forecast, we have to think of the safety of our competitors and fans,” commented General Manager Clarke Sawyer. Sawyer added, “we will look at the schedules of mud bog events in the Mid-Atlantic region and find a date that does not conflict with any of those events. Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway will once again host two spectacular mud bogs in 2016, the 9th Annual Down and Dirty Mud Mayhem on Saturday May 21st and the 12th Annual Down and Dirt Run-A-Muck Mud Bog on Saturday October 8th. Record Breaking Kind of Day During 8thAnnual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment

Jamaica, VA – A hot and humid afternoon led to some great mud bogging at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway. The 8th Annual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment saw four division records broken during the days competition. The event was also sponsored by Aaron’s, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, Kalbone’s Speed & Off Road, After Hours Fabrication, Collision One and Truckin Thunder. The great crowd was treated to some incredible runs in both the mud bog and mud sling pits. The day of setting new records also spilled over to the competitors, as several division records were broken during competition. In all four division track records were broken. Heading into the competition E&E Caulking sponsored the Tapole’s Break the Record Challenge which paid out an additional $100 bonus to break a record. In the Aaron’s Pro Mod B division Kenny Crowder in Mr. Nasty Time set a new record with a run of 4.211 seconds that ended in a spectacular crash at the end. Crowder would emerge unhurt. In the Down and Dirty Unlimited Bog division The Pit’s “Fastest Woman” proved again she is fast with a record setting 3.802 second run. The James River Equipment X Cut and Victory Lap XX Paddle dragster divisions were dominated by New York’s Kelly Odell as he set the fastest pass ever in the history of The Pit with a 1.987 second run in the XX Paddle’s. He also broke the X Cut record with a run of 2.267 seconds. Overall 68 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 156 registered passes. Winners in each class: Super Stock A – Neil McClanan in Never Enough; Super Stock B – Kyle Slaughter in Step-A-Side; Modified A and B – Tonya Ricks in Dancin With the Devil; Pro Mod A – Spence Messick Jr. in Mud Runner; Pro Mod B – Kenny Crowder in Mr. Nasty Time; Unlimited Bog – Tonya Ricks in Dacin With the Devil; X Class & XX Class – Kelly Odell in Under Pressure. The Atkins Petroleum & Propane “King of the Hill” Double Down Bonus was offered again to anyone that could win both the A & B classes in the Super Stock, Modified or Pro Mod divisions. Tonya Ricks in Dancin with the Devil was able to take home the $500 bonus by winning both classes in the Modified division. Tonya Ricks also picked up a $100 bonus from Guthrie and Sons Heating & Cooling by having the fastest time in After Hours Fabrication Mod A competition.
