Record Breaking Kind of Day During 8thAnnual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment

Jamaica, VA – A hot and humid afternoon led to some great mud bogging at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway. The 8th Annual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment saw four division records broken during the days competition. The event was also sponsored by Aaron’s, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, Kalbone’s Speed & Off Road, After Hours Fabrication, Collision One and Truckin Thunder. The great crowd was treated to some incredible runs in both the mud bog and mud sling pits. The day of setting new records also spilled over to the competitors, as several division records were broken during competition. In all four division track records were broken. Heading into the competition E&E Caulking sponsored the Tapole’s Break the Record Challenge which paid out an additional $100 bonus to break a record. In the Aaron’s Pro Mod B division Kenny Crowder in Mr. Nasty Time set a new record with a run of 4.211 seconds that ended in a spectacular crash at the end. Crowder would emerge unhurt. In the Down and Dirty Unlimited Bog division The Pit’s “Fastest Woman” proved again she is fast with a record setting 3.802 second run. The James River Equipment X Cut and Victory Lap XX Paddle dragster divisions were dominated by New York’s Kelly Odell as he set the fastest pass ever in the history of The Pit with a 1.987 second run in the XX Paddle’s. He also broke the X Cut record with a run of 2.267 seconds. Overall 68 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 156 registered passes. Winners in each class: Super Stock A – Neil McClanan in Never Enough; Super Stock B – Kyle Slaughter in Step-A-Side; Modified A and B – Tonya Ricks in Dancin With the Devil; Pro Mod A – Spence Messick Jr. in Mud Runner; Pro Mod B – Kenny Crowder in Mr. Nasty Time; Unlimited Bog – Tonya Ricks in Dacin With the Devil; X Class & XX Class – Kelly Odell in Under Pressure. The Atkins Petroleum & Propane “King of the Hill” Double Down Bonus was offered again to anyone that could win both the A & B classes in the Super Stock, Modified or Pro Mod divisions. Tonya Ricks in Dancin with the Devil was able to take home the $500 bonus by winning both classes in the Modified division. Tonya Ricks also picked up a $100 bonus from Guthrie and Sons Heating & Cooling by having the fastest time in After Hours Fabrication Mod A competition. Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway will host the first of two mud bogs for the 2015 season on Saturday June 20, 2015. The 8th Annual Down & Dirty Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment will kick off the 11th season for The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway. Additional sponsorship provided by Aaron’s, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, Kalbone’s Speed & Off Road, After Hours Fabrication, Collision One and Truckin Thunder. There will be nine classes of “Mud Maniacs” in action ranging from super stock to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes. Competitors are encouraged to visit www.thepitatvms.com for the rules packages and payouts. Not only will fans get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the 200 foot Mud Bog pit but they will also get the opportunity to see some of the regions best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds. Gates and registration will open at 9am with single eliminations for Super Stock A, B; Modified A (Small tire), B (Big Tire), Unlimited Bog, Pro Modified A, Pro Modified B and X, XX classes beginning at 12 noon. MUD BOG HUGE SUCCESS

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 8th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, Mud Sling and Truck Show presented by James River / Rappahannock Tractor, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis Off Road, Monster Energy Drink, After Hours Fabrication, Truckin Thunder and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 6th breaking records in both competitor participation and fans in attendance. The cool temperatures and partly sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging. Overall 137 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 271 total passes. Adding to the excitement Steve Sims in Stone Crusher and Maxey Broadus in Walking Tall put on a fantastic freestyle monster truck show for the fans with some high flying maneuvers. The “Master of Disaster” himself Dennis Anderson brought out his newest creation King Sling and thrilled the crowd with a performance that only Dennis Anderson could pull off. Winners in each class: Stock A – “Mudiva” Tanya Ricks in Hell On Heels; Stock B – David Mizell in Tetnus Shot; Modified A – George Johnson in Gold Digger 2; Modified B – George Johnson in Gold Digger; Modified C – Ray Adkins in Haulin Gas; Pro Mod – Clint Saunders in Muddy Money; Unlimited Bog – Herby Dorsett in Jus Playin’; X Cuts – Clarke Sawyer in Anxious; and XX Paddles – Travis Shoemaker in Highroller 4. Record Crowd for 7th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog And Mud Sling at The Pit

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 7th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River / Rappahannock Tractor, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis Off Road, Monster Energy Drink, NAPA of King William, Truckin Thunder and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 1st to a record crowd. The event also boasted another large field of competitors featuring not only some of the areas top mud trucks in a very tough mud pit but also the very popular 1500 horsepower mud dragsters in the mud sling pit. If that wasn’t enough the fans were also treated to an awesome monster truck freestyle show by Equalizer and fans also witnessed the first performance of Dennis Anderson’s King Sling at a track other than Anderson’s own Muddy Motorsports Park.
