NEW MUD BOG DIVISION PAYOUTS RELEASED!

Jamaica, VA – With the 10th Anniversary season just over a week away with the running of the 5th (should be 6th) Annual Mud Mayhem presented by James River Equipment, VA National Guard and RedNex Sporting Goods on Saturday June 21st, officials have released the new division payouts for 2014. The Super Stock A & B classes will now race for $500 to win, $300 for 2nd, $100 for 3rd, $75 for 4th and $50 for 5th. In the Mod A & B divisions they are now racing for $600 to win, $400 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, $100 for 4th and $75 for 5th, In the Pro Mod A & B divisions they will race for $800 to win, $500 for 2nd, $200 for 3rd, $100 for 4th and $75 for 5th. In the Unlimited bog it will pay $500 to win, $200 for 2nd and $100 for third. Shear Stylin’ (owned by Julie Waldrop) is sponsoring the 4th and 5th place payouts in the Super Stock, Mod and Pro Mod divisions. The X and XX divisions will continue to race for $750 to win, $350 for 2nd and $150 for 3rd. There is an Injector Bonus (Non-Blower Motor) in both classes that pays $300 for the 1st, $200 for 2nd and $100 for 3rd. As an added bonus there is the Atkins Petroleum & Propane “King of the Hill” Double Down Bonus in the Super Stock, Mod and Pro Mod divisions. MUD BOG HUGE SUCCESS

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 8th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, Mud Sling and Truck Show presented by James River / Rappahannock Tractor, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Davis Off Road, Monster Energy Drink, After Hours Fabrication, Truckin Thunder and ORI of Richmond this past Saturday October 6th breaking records in both competitor participation and fans in attendance. The cool temperatures and partly sunny skies provided a tremendous day for mud bogging. Overall 137 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 271 total passes. Adding to the excitement Steve Sims in Stone Crusher and Maxey Broadus in Walking Tall put on a fantastic freestyle monster truck show for the fans with some high flying maneuvers. The “Master of Disaster” himself Dennis Anderson brought out his newest creation King Sling and thrilled the crowd with a performance that only Dennis Anderson could pull off. Winners in each class: Stock A – “Mudiva” Tanya Ricks in Hell On Heels; Stock B – David Mizell in Tetnus Shot; Modified A – George Johnson in Gold Digger 2; Modified B – George Johnson in Gold Digger; Modified C – Ray Adkins in Haulin Gas; Pro Mod – Clint Saunders in Muddy Money; Unlimited Bog – Herby Dorsett in Jus Playin’; X Cuts – Clarke Sawyer in Anxious; and XX Paddles – Travis Shoemaker in Highroller 4. Melvin Deavers in Neighborhood Nuisance took top Nitrous/Non-blower bonus in the X Cuts class while Travis Shoemaker in High Roller 4 took top Nitrous/Non-blower bonus in the XX Paddle class. In the Chuck Engel Memorial Truck Show James Fosher III of Newport News, VA won Best Chevrolet; Mike Gunter of Chesterfield, VA won Best Ford; Don Coates of Glucester, VA won Best Dodge; Calvin Rhodes of Saluda, VA won Best Off Road; James Powell / Ronnie Coates of Hayes, VA won Best Paint; Chris Perdue won Best Interior; John Zollinger of Millersville, MD won Best Suspension; Taylor Bukoski of Mechanicsville, VA won Best In Progress; Katherine Campbell of Urbanna, VA won Best Engineered; Trace Burgess of Kill Devil Hills, NC won Best of Show and the People’s Choice Award went to the late Chuck Engel. The 2013 events were announced during the event and will see The Pit host Mud Mania on Saturday June 15, 2012 and the 9th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling on Saturday October 5, 2013 (Rain Date Oct. 12).
