Speedway to Host Modified Mafia Tour on Saturday, August 5
Jamaica, VA – The top modified drivers in the Mid-Atlantic are headed to Virginia Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 5, for the $2500 to win, Modified Mafia Tour Shoot ‘Em Up 30. It will be the first visit by the Modified Mafia Tour to the ½ mile speed plant.
“With it being a two-race weekend with Potomac Speedway, we should have a great car count, and the modifieds will put on a show, racing two and three-wide all night,� commented track owner Bill Sawyer.
Adult general admission tickets are only $20, senior / military is $15, students 13 – 17 years old are $10, and children 12 and under are admitted free. Pit passes will be $35.

Spectator gates will open at 5 PM, with hot laps beginning at 6 PM. Racing is scheduled for 7 PM.
The night will also feature the Victory Lap Pro Late Models in Twin 15-lap features, the Truckin Thunder Sportsman in a 25-lap feature, and the Joe Hudson’s Collision Center Limited Stocks in a 20-lap feature.
Competitor gates will open at 2 PM, with spectator gates opening at 5 PM. Action on the track is scheduled to begin at 6 PM with hot laps.
Bring your portable radio headset and enjoy hearing the call of all the action on the track by tuning into 95.5 FM on your radio dial.
Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway is a ½ mile dirt oval track located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA, and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA, in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland, and the Hampton Roads area.
