Runner-up finish in Road to Jamaica at Natural Bridge

Ross Bailes kicked off the doubleheader weekend with the Ultimate Southeast Series on Friday night at Natural Bridge Speedway (Natural Bridge, Va.) for the Road to Jamaica. Earning the pole position for the $5,000-to-win A-Main via time trials, Bailes set the pace for the first 28 circuits until fellow front-row starter Brandon Overton slipped by. He went on to place second, trailing Overton to the checkers with Trever Feathers, Zack Mitchell, and Cla Knight rounding out the Top-5.

On Saturday afternoon at Virginia Motor Speedway (Jamaica, Va.) for the King of the Commonwealth, Ross came in fifth in his heat race before picking up a 10-lap consolation victory. Starting the $20,000-to-win A-Main in 18th, Bailes broke a right-front lower control arm on lap 17 that sideline him for the remainder of the evening.
