Speedway to Host WRAR / WNNT Night at the Races this Saturday April 28th
Jamaica, VA – Drivers and fans alike are ready to get the 2018 Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship weekly racing season at Virginia Motor Speedway under way after being rained out on April 7th. After a very success Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth on April 14th, officials are excited to see what the weekly racing season has to offer. WRAR / WNNT Night at the races will feature all four Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship division in some exciting side by side racing.
Saturday evening April 28th will feature a full program of Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship weekly racing action that will include the Victory Lap Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock divisions.
Competitor gates for Saturday, April 28th will open at 12pm for inspection and registration for all competitors. Spectator gates opening at 5pm with on track activities beginning around 5pm with hot laps. There will be a mandatory drivers meeting at 4:45pm.
Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday: Victory Lap Pro Late Models (35 Laps); Budweiser Modifieds (30 Laps); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (30 laps) and the Collision One Limited Stock Cars (25 laps). All divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and Features.
Adult general admission is just $12; seniors (60+) $10; military (active and retired) $8; students (11-17) $6 and children 10 and under are free with a paying adult. Pit passes (regardless of age) are $20 and also get you a seat in the grandstands.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a 1/2-mile, dirt oval. The track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.
