$20,000 To Win Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth Set for Saturday April 11th

Jamaica, VA – In just over a week the 2015 season gets underway for Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway with the running of the $20,000 to win Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth. That means some of the nations top dirt late model drivers will be making the trip to the ½ mile speed plant located in Jamaica, VA.

The event will be sanctioned by the Ultimate Super Late Model Series and will feature a 60 lap feature paying the winner a cool $20,000. The event will also include a $3000 to win Fastrak Pro Late Model National Touring event. A Sunday April 12th rain date has been established if needed.

Fans can expect to see the best in national and regional dirt late model drivers for this highly anticipated event. Defending Ultimate Super Late Model Series Champion Dennis Franklin, current point leader Dustin Mitchell, two-time series champion Casey Roberts, Jeff Smith, Casey Barrow and the rest of the Ultimate Series regulars will have their hands full as they compete against TireX USA 100 Champion Chris Ferguson, Ricky Elliott, Jason Covert, Jamie Lathroum and a host of other regional hot shoes for the top prize.

Spectator gates open at 4pm with on track action beginning at 6pm with hot laps. Both divisions will run hot laps, qualifying, heats, B-Main(s) and feature.

Admission price for adults is only $30, seniors (60+) $27; military (active/retired w/ proper I.D.) $25, students 11 – 17 years old $12 and children 10 and under admitted free. Pit passes will be $40.

16� coolers are welcomed but no glass is allowed. There is plenty of free lit parking and camping (no hookups) is allowed at no charge on a first come first served basis.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a ½ mile dirt oval track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.
