Rain Can’t Dampen Spirits of Mud Boggers at 9th Annual Run A Muck Mud Bog; Results
Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hosted the 9th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog, Mud Sling and Truck Show presented by James River Equipment, Virginia Army National Guard and in part by Down and Dirty Virginia, Monster Energy Drink, After Hours Fabrication, Truckin Thunder and Collision One this past Saturday October 19th to a very enthusiastic crowd of mud maniacs.
The rainy day could not dampen the spirits of the mud bogging faithful as they came out in full force to take part in the event. Overall 107 different competitors took turns at the state of the art 200 foot pit for a total of 194 total passes.
Adding to the excitement Steve Sims in Stone Crusher and Maxey Broadus in Walking Tall put on a fantastic Down and Dirty freestyle monster truck show for the fans with some high flying maneuvers.
Winners in each class: Super Stock A – Ogle Forrest Jr, in Buster; Super Stock B – Neil McClanan in Never Enough; Modified A – Richard Rainey in Swamp Rat; Modified B – Daniel Davis – Mr. Nasty Time; Modified C – Ray Adkins in Haulin Gas; Pro Mod – Daniel Davis – Mr. Nasty Time; Unlimited Bog – Ray Adkins in Haulin Gas; X Cuts – Chris Newton in Hostile Projectile; and XX Paddles – Chuck Brown in Mudaholic. Travis Shoemaker in Highroller took top Injector/Non-blower bonus in the X Cuts class while Chuck Brown in Mudaholic took top Injector/Non-blower bonus in the XX Paddle class.
The state of the art mud bog will undergo some expansion during the offseason in preparation of the tenth anniversary of the facility. The dates for the 2014 season have been announced that June 21st and October 11th (October 18th – Rain date) will be the dates of the tenth anniversary season.

The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The Speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.
