Rain forces postponement of 32nd Annual USA 100 till Sunday September 18th at 1pm
Jamaica, VA – Persistent rains have forced the postponement of the 32nd Annual USA 100 till Sunday September 18, 2011.
“We are very disappointed that we have to use our advertised rain date, but Mother Nature would not let us get it in today,� commented track General Manager Clarke Sawyer.
Competitor gates for Sunday, September 18th will open at 10:30am with spectator gates opening at 1pm. On track activities will begin at 1pm with hot laps.
Divisions scheduled to race on Sunday September 18th: Lucus Oil Late Model Dirt Series (50 Laps); Open Modifieds (30 Laps). Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series drivers will run hot laps, qualifying, Qualifying races, B Main(s) and feature. Modified drivers will run hot laps, qualifying, heats, B Main(s) and feature.
Admission price for Adults $25, seniors (60+) $20; military (active/retired w/ proper I.D.) $18, students 7 – 17 years old $12 and children 6 and under admitted free. Pit passes will be $30.
To enhance the fans racing experience the speedway has installed a short wave FM transmitter and all of the evening’s action can be heard at 95.5 FM. So bring your portable radio headset and enjoy hearing all the action.

Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA Member Track, is a ½ mile dirt oval track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA.
