Jamaica, VA – Virginia Motor Speedway has released the 2019 rules packages for the Fastrak Pro Late Models, Budweiser Modified, Truckin Thunder sportsman and Collision One Limited Stock Car divisions. It is the responsibility of the driver / crews to read the new rules fully as all division and General Rules have changes for 2019. SPEEDWAY CAR REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Jamaica, VA – Speedway officials have announced that 2019 driver registration is now open for all Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship weekly divisions. Competitors are encouraged to get their registration in before the opening weekend. Registration is once again $100 for the year OR $25 per race. Number choice for the top twenty (20) in 2018 points is secured until February 28, 2019, at that time all numbers will be first come, first served. Competitors can print off the 2019 forms and mail them in with a check or provide credit card info at the bottom of the registration form. There is a $3 convenience fee when using a credit card. There are three forms that MUST be filled out for registration. Please have them all filled out and returned. Speedway Releases 2019 Schedule of Events

Jamaica, VA – Virginia Motor Speedway has released the schedule for the 2019 season. It will mark the 50th season of action at the ½ mile speed plant in Jamaica, VA. The schedule includes twelve (12) nights of weekly racing action, the return of 410 sprint cars with the April 11th Thursday Night Thunder featuring the All Star Circuit of Champions and Tony Stewart competing, two Ultimate Super Late Model sanctioned events – the April 20th $20,000 to win Aaron’s King of the Commonwealth and the June 15th $20,000 to win 43rd Annual USA 100; the history making $50,000 to win FASTRAK World Championship presented by James River Equipment weekend and two mud bogs at the facilities state-of-the-art 200 mud bog pit. The 50th anniversary season opening event for the speedway’s four weekly divisions will take place on Saturday April 27th featuring a full program of action that will include the Victory Lap Pro Late Model, Truckin Thunder Sportsman, Budweiser Modified and Collision One Limited Stock divisions. The season’s first special event will be Thursday April 11th with the return of 410 sprint cars for a $10,000 to win, $1000 to start event. Thursday Night Thunder will feature the All Star Circuit of Champions sprint car series with Tony Stewart competing. The UMP Modifieds will also be competing in the first event of the Dirt Cup Challenge 2019 and will pay $3000 to win. April 20th sees the return of the Ultimate Super Late Model Series for the $20,000 to win King of the Commonwealth along with a $3000 to win FASTRAK National event for Pro Late Models. The event will have a Sunday April 21st rain date. June 15TH the Ultimate Super Late Model Series stars and cars will return for the 43rd Annual USA and pay $20,000 to win. There will also be a $3000 to win FASTRAK National event for Pro Late Models. The event will have a Sunday June 16th rain date. The 2019 FASTRAK World Championship returns September 13-14, 2019 and will make history by paying $50,000 to win and $2050 to start the feature. The World Championship has a Sunday September 15th rain date. The very popular mud bogs are scheduled for May 18th and October 5th. UMP MODIFIEDS JOIN 410 SPRINT CARS THURSDAY APRIL 11

Jamaica, VA – It has been already been announced that Virginia Motor Speedway will be opening its 50th Anniversary season with the return of 410 sprint cars to the ½ mile speed plant in Jamaica, VA on Thursday April 11, 2019. Now officials are excited to announce that the UMP Modifeds will be the support division and compete in a $3000 to win event and will also be the first race of the Dirt Cup Challenge 2019 season. Competitors competing in the event will collect UMP National Points. “We are very excited to have Bill Long and Laura Tucker bring their Dirt Cup Challenge 2019 to Virginia Motor Speedway for the very first time. I have had the pleasure to work with Bill in the past and know that he and his staff will bring a lot to the table heading up to April 11, as they do a phenomenal job in promoting their events,” commented Virginia Motor Speedway Director of Marketing Dave Seay. Seay added, “this event is going to be an open wheel racing fans dream, and one you will not want to miss.” The Dirt Cup Challenge got a reboot in 2018 after beginning as a tour in Michigan. When Bill Long made the move to North Carolina he wanted to continue to promote the UMP modified division and help grow it in the Mid-Atlantic region. Thursday night April 11th will mark the beginning of Virginia Motor Speedway’s 50th season and will be one of the speedway’s most exciting events.
