Great Weather, Huge Crowd and Packed Pits Make for one Phenomenal Mud Bog at The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway

Jamaica, VA – The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway hit the Trifecta this past Saturday with great weather, a huge crowd and an overflowing pit full of competitors for the 14th Annual Down and Dirty Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment and Who’sYourDriver.org. The event was also sponsored by Aaron’s, Northern Neck Chevrolet, Atkins Petroleum & Propane, After Hours Fabrication, Collision One, Gary’s Transmission and Truckin Thunder. Winners in each class: Super Stock A and B – Mike Braswell in Braswell Construction; Modified A and B – Charlie Wood in Mudweiser; Pro Mod A and B – Trey Moody in That P.O.S.; Unlimited Bog – Denny Kerley in Rowdy Snoot in Rowdy Snoot; Unlimited X Tractor – Leslie Anderson in Mud Slay; Obstacle X – Ray Atkins in Haulin’ Gas; X Cut Dragster – Paul Palmer in The Show; XX Paddle Dragster – Dale Ellenberger in Touch of Madness. The Atkins Petroleum & Propane “King of the Hill” Double Down Bonus was offered again to anyone that could win both the A & B classes in the Super Stock, Modified or Pro Mod divisions. For the first time ever, it was done in all three divisions with Mike Braswell in Braswell Construction taking both Stock classes and Charlie Wood in Mudwesier taking the win in both Modified classes and Trey Moody in That P.O.S. sweeping the Pro Mod classes. Each driver received a $500 bonus for being the “King of the Hill”. Two drivers broke track records in their respective classes; Trey Moody in That P.O.S. broke the After Hours Fabrication Pro Mod B record with a 3.654 second run and Denny Kerley in Rowdy Snoot broke the Gary’s Transmission Unlimited Bog record with a 3.208 second run. Both received a $100 bonus in Tadpole’s Break the Record Challenge presented by E&E Caulking, Inc.
