$20,000 TO WIN FASTRAK WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP WEEKEND JUST ONE WEEK AWAY

Jamaica, VA – Pro Late Model racing’s richest weekend is almost here. The much anticipated FASTRAK World Championship weekend is set for Friday and Saturday October 5 – 6, 2018 at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA. After having to postpone the mega event due to Hurricane Florence, track officials are now once again busy preparing the facilities for what is expected to be another record car count. The weekend will put the spotlight squarely on the country’s best Pro Late Model drivers. This mega race will pay the winner a cool $20,000. With a total payout over $80,000, it is the richest weekend in all of Pro Late Model racing. The weekend kicks off with Friday’s FASTRAK World Challenge presented by WhosYourDriver.org, a member only $5,000 to win, 40 lap race. Members are required to have competed in at least seven FASTRAK sanctioned events during the 2018 season. The following night is the FASTRAK World Championship presented by James River Equipment, a $20,000 to win 60 lap feature event that is open to all Pro Late Model competitors. In the event of rain, Sunday September 16th is currently scheduled as the rain date. Admission prices for Friday’s World Challenge event are adults $15, senior and military $12, students (11-17) $10 and children 10 and under free. Admission for Saturday’s FASTRAK World Championship are adults $35, senior and military $25, students (11-17) $15 and children 10 and under free. Bring your Friday night ticket stub and receive $5 off your Saturday general admission ticket. Discount is not good for pit passes. Pit passes, regardless of age, are $45 for either a single or two-day pass and will also get you a seat in the grandstands. The speedway offers free camping (no hook-ups) and plenty of well-lit and free parking. Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway is a ½ mile dirt oval track is located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. Jamaica, VA – To say that officials of The Pit at Virginia Motor Speedway are anxiously awaiting the running of the 14th Annual Run-A-Muck Mud Bog and Mud Sling presented by James River Equipment and WhosYourDriver.org would be an understatement. With the spring mud bog rained out officials, fans and competitors alike are all ready for some of the best mud bogging on the East Coast. There will be eleven classes of “Mud Maniacs” in action ranging from super stock to unlimited with cash payouts in all classes. Competitors are encouraged to visit www.thepitatvms.com for the rules packages and payouts. The Unlimited X Tractor and Obstacle X divisions will once again run a short course for time. Plans are to make a few changes to the course before October 13th. Not only will fans get to see hordes of trucks splashing through the 200 foot Mud Bog pit but they will also get the opportunity to see some of the regions best Mud Dragsters covering the 200 foot Mud Sling pit in under three seconds. The event will also include a car crushing monster truck freestyle show and is sure to be a hit with adults and kids alike. Gates and registration will open at 9am with single eliminations for Super Stock A, B; Modified A (Small tire), B (Big Tire), Unlimited Bog, Unlimited X Tractor, Pro Modified A, Pro Modified B and X, XX classes beginning at 12 noon.
