WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW: Truckin Thunder Scout Night
Jamaica, VA — The speedway will host Truckin Thunder Scout Night tonight and feature the 4th Annual Dirtwood Nationals Pinewood Derby as pre-race activities. The pinewood derby will have three categories: Scouts, Fans and competitors. There will be an overall champion crowned. Registration will get under way at 3pm with the derby starting at 4pm. Don’t have a pinewood derby car? No problem, rent one for $10 with the proceeds going to the charity ChildHelp! Spectator and competitors gates open at 3pm. Action on the big track will get underway at 6:30pm with hot laps and features starting at 8pm. Admission: Adults – $12; Seniors (60+) – $10; Military (active/retired) $8; Students (11-17) – $6 and kids 10 and under free. Pit passes (regardless of age) are $20. Coolers are allowed (16″ or smaller), no glass allowed. Plenty of well lit, free parking. Camping is allowed (no hookups) must be self contained. For race day info call (804) 758-1867....
