Remnants of IDA causing heavy rains and flooding cancels 2009 Awards Banquet
Jamaica, VA – With heavy rains and flooding from the remnants of Ida accuring in the Virginia Beach, VA area the decision has been made by VMS officials to cancel the 2009 Awards Banquet activities for this weekend. “With the current State of Emergency in affect for Virginia and the continued heavy rains and flooding we felt it was in the best interest of all involved to cancel this years activities in Virginia Beach,” commented track owner Bill Sawyer. Refunds for purchased tickets will be processed by next week. Points checks will be mailed out as well. If you have booked a room please make plans to cancel them today, November 12th....
