Jamaica, VA – With heavy rains and a flood warning in the forecast officials have made the difficult decision to cancel racing activities for Saturday July 29, 2017 at Bill Sawyer’s Virginia Motor Speedway. It is the speedway’s third rainout of the season.

“We hate to lose another race, but with the forecast calling for heavy rains and possible flooding we felt it was best to go ahead and cancel racing for tomorrow”, commented track General Manager Clarke Sawyer.

The speedway will return to racing next Saturday August 5, 2017 to host Essex Concrete Night and week 11 of the Aaron’s Dirt Series Championship Weekly Racing season featuring the Victory Lap Pro Late Models, Budweiser Modifieds, Truckin Thunder Sportsman and Collision One Limited Stock Cars in action.

Admission price for Adults $12, seniors (60+) $10; military (active/retired w/ proper I.D.) $8, students 11 – 17 years old $6 and children 10 and under admitted free. Pit passes will be $20.

16” coolers are welcomed but no glass is allowed. There is plenty of free lit parking and camping (no hookups) is allowed at no charge on a first come first served basis.
